I was busy this weekend, and it looks like I missed out on a great time! These are Andrew’s pictures… leave me a note if you want to upload your own and I’ll send you a username and password.

This was some BIG water this year from the still 15 feet of snow up in the mountains. Lets say a normal flow for the river is 1200 cfs(cubic feet per second), this year it was 7000+ cfs, that’s a LOT of water, and it was COLD, all snow melting. River Data for Memorial Day Weekend.

On the last run, at the big rapid, there was a hole that we got stuck in, then flipped the whole raft. We all had to swim for about 5 minutes. After about 10 seconds in the water, I was almost completely wiped out from the cold, and I even had a wetsuit on. Ken lost his glasses, and the flap on his hat finally fell off.

I went rafting this weekend up at the American River (Sacramento area).

On the last pirating mission of the day I boarded the other boat, targeting a newcomer, Shannon, and she fought valiantly, and BIT ME! (recreation:)

I went rafting again this weekend up at the American River, south fork. Very fun, but no one went in the river, I feel like I let everyone down. ( Julie will next trip!!!

Gilligan’s Island
Just sit right back and you’ll hear a tale,
a tale of a fateful trip.
That started from this tropic port,

with Gilligan, the Skipper too,
the Millionaire, and his Wife,
the Movie Star, the Professor and Mary Ann,
here on Gilligan’s Isle.

So this is the tale of our castaways,
they’re here for a long, long time.
They’ll have to make the best of things,
it’s an uphill climb.
The first mate and his skipper too,
will do their very best,
to make the others comfortable,
in the tropic island nest.
No phones, no lights, no motor cars,
not a single luxury.
Like Robinson Crusoe,
it’s primitive as can be.

Rafting this weekend was really good. I threw a lot of people in the river!

Pirate Work

We got Dennis in, then took in Brian.

Next day I took Sylvia into our boat, then she looked like she needed help to get up, so I got her by the vest and threw her into the river, a classic move.

Another boarding party, my boat lost a couple people, but while Junior was laughing at someone in the River(Standing up in his raft), I blind-sided him and all of a sudden he was in the river. Another classic.

I had a great time rafting this weekend, as always!!!

The rafting trip was from May 23rd to the 25th.

I got a chance to guide the boat half way down the rapids and it was a lot of fun! I didn’t flip it and got through Ewings… looking forward to seeing that picture.

Pirate work
Threw in Laura Ferris, captured Julie then threw her in. Captured Diana, then threw in, also another girl named Laura was thrown in. Very successful!
