The subway was very clean, quick and smooth but the maps are the WORST I have ever seen! You have to know where each of the stations are because they don’t correspond with any streets. I hated getting around in DC.

It was HOT. I mean HOT in DC. I don’t think I have been more unconfortable walking around ANYWHERE than in DC these few days. 115 degree weather in LA is much better than 90 with 80% humidity.

It’s good to be back in LA now.

So last night, we went to a small club/bar to listen to some jazz because Rebecca mentioned that it’s a cool place, and the girl singing sounded A LOT like Norah Jones, yes, Grammy Award winning, Norah Freakin Jones!

Girl next to me said, you aren’t trippin’, it’s a total score, really was her.

This picture is from the East Village(hippy/artist/Berkely type of place). They made this little cardboard shop and were selling advice for 25 cents. I think I was their first customer. It was so funny, and well worth the 25 cents. It was totally like Lucy on Charlie Brown, selling advice for 5 cents. It put a big smile on my face with the advice they gave, I bought the Love advice. Basically said to love yourself before you can love someone else. Honestly, one of the big highlights of my trip. Such a random experience, and such a good energy vibe from those people.

Oh, and P.S. I’m shaking from no sleep, lots of coffee, and a decent amount to drink. And Also, it’s my birthday, so wish me a happy birthday. :o ) This NYC trip has been a birthday present to myself, and well worth it. The sun is starting to rise on NYC (5:55am) and soon the flight will be boarding.
